TrueX performance you can count
on!
Kenwood's
award-winning TrueX CD-ROM drives, are now available in a
62X TrueX Speed. Like all award-winning Kenwood TrueX
CD-ROM Drives, the 62X TrueX CD-ROM Drive uses TrueX
technology to bring you a faster, quieter, and more
reliable CD-ROM drive. By blending innovation and
technology, Kenwood has created the 62X TrueX CD-ROM
Drive offering high data transfer rates at significantly
low rotational speeds: TrueX performance.
With transfer rates ranging from 6,750 to 9,300KB/sec.
across the entire disc, the Kenwood 62X TrueX CD-ROM
Drive is more than 50% faster than the average 50X Max
CD-ROM drive available today. The Kenwood 62X TrueX
CD-ROM Drives have a rotational speed of 5,100 to 2,400
RPM, which is almost half the rotational speed of the
average 50X Max CD-ROM drive. Low rotational speed means
lower noise and vibration; a more reliable CD-ROM
drive.
Equivalent to an 80X Max
drive&endash; if one existed!*
The Kenwood 62X
TrueX CD-ROM is made with Zen's TrueX technology
and Kenwood's patented 7-Beam pickup, which illuminate
multiple tracks simultaneously, read them in parallel,
and process the data through a custom ASIC. By reading
multiple tracks at once, the 62X TrueX CD-ROM drive
actually spins the disc slower than conventional
single-beam drives or "Max drives", resulting in a
faster, quieter more reliable CD-ROM drive. No "Max
Drive" on the market today can claim such high transfer
rate at such low rotational speeds. Only Kenwood TrueX
CD-ROM Drives give you the TrueX performance you can
count on for applications such as 3D games, multimedia,
digital audio extraction, installations, and reference
content.
With the 62X TrueX CD-ROM Drive your CD based
applications and data get TrueX performance, high
transfer rates at low rotational speeds, from the
beginning of the disc to the end.
Innovative technology powered by Zen, available only from
Kenwood.
FASTER:
High transfer rate delivers 6.75MB to 9.3MB/sec. across the entire disc
QUIETER:
Lower rotational speeds minimize noise and vibration
MORE RELIABLE:
Lower rotational speeds enhance precise disc
readability
*Based
on the estimated average transfer rate since an 80X Max
drive is not available.
